Role Summary
We are looking for a UX Design Manager who is a "player-coach" at heart. You will not just manage pixels; you will define how humans interact with complex identity systems and invisible AI agents. You will lead a pod of talented designers, creating intuitive workflows for IT and Security teams to govern their digital workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Design Strategy: Translate complex technical requirements (Identity Governance, AI Policies) into simple, intuitive, and elegant user experiences.
Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and manage the performance of 4-6 Product Designers, fostering a culture of critique and creativity.
Process Excellence: Own the end-to-end design lifecycle, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and design QA.
Design System: Maintain and evolve our Design System to ensure consistency and speed of execution across the platform.
User Research: Champion user research practices - conducting or overseeing usability testing and translating insights into design decisions.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leaders to ensure design feasibility and business alignment.
Hiring: Actively participate in recruiting top design talent to scale the team.
What we are looking for
Must-haves
Experience: 8+ years of Product Design experience with 2+ years in a formal leadership/management role.
B2B Complexity: Strong portfolio showcasing experience in B2B SaaS, specifically in complex domains (e.g., Data Visualisation, Dashboards, Enterprise Workflows). Use product analytics to measure and improve design impact.Craftsmanship: Mastery of design tools (Figma) and a deep understanding of layout, typography, and interaction design.
Systems Thinking: Ability to design for scale; you don't just design screens, you design systems and flows. Education: Degree in Design (HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design) preferred or equivalent practical experience; an exceptional portfolio is equally valued.
Stakeholder Management: Present design rationale to leadership and influence product roadmap
Nice-to-Haves
Experience designing for security, compliance, or IT admin personas is a significant plus. eg, Cybersecurity, DevOps tools, or Developer Platforms.

Basic understanding of Frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/React) to communicate effectively with engineers.

Design Deep Dive (with Hiring Manager) – A detailed conversation where you'll walk us through key projects from your portfolio. The team will explore your design process, problem-solving approach, and the thinking behind your decisions. This round will also include a discussion to align on role expectations.
Portfolio Review + Whiteboard Discussion - A walkthrough of your key projects followed by a collaborative problem-solving exercise.
Techno-Managerial Round (Head of Product) - A discussion focused on product judgment, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking.
Culture Fit – A conversation to understand alignment with the team’s values and ways of working.
