When project44 first approached us, they weren’t looking for a typical b2b senior/lead designer.
They needed a principal designer, someone who is a solid hands-on designer but could think at a systems level, work with complex supply-chain products, and still bring deep craft to the table. A rare combination, and definitely not a copy-paste hiring mandate.
For us, that meant digging deeper than the usual sourcing playbook.
