The Challenge
In 2021, Zeta, a banking technology company that helps banks and fintechs launch modern products, had just become a unicorn and was growing its teams. It needed designers who could take on complex problems with research, systems thinking and clarity.
Mustafa Quilon the hiring manager, was hiring across levels, from Senior Designers to Product Designers. The brief asked for people who could work with information architecture, document their work well and execute with a sharp eye for detail.
Our Approach
We began with a detailed conversation with the team to understand what each role needed and what strong work looked like, beyond titles and years of experience.
From there, we tapped into our network and shared a hand-picked list of profiles. Throughout the engagement, the team’s high involvement and clear feedback helped guide our sourcing and keep us focused on the right pool of profiles.
Outcome & What Made It Work
We were delighted to hire three designers for the Zeta team: Siddhartha, Deepak and Kishore.
What stood out across the search was the team’s bar for excellence and quality. They supported us through the interview process, shared detailed feedback on every profile, and stayed closely involved from start to finish.
We also got to work with Zeta during its growth phase. For the candidates we placed, it was a chance to join the organisation as it helped traditional banks go digital-first, and to design for a new generation of digital-first consumers.
